‘Uniki

An intensive 2 year training program for teachers of the hula tradition worldwide desiring to graduate through the traditional ceremony of ÿuniki. The goal of the first year of intensive training is to ÿuniki as ÿölapa. The goal of the second year of intensive training is to ÿuniki as hoÿopaÿa. There will be four sessions of intensive training held during the year with a fifth session for the actual ÿuniki ceremony. All sessions are held at “Kahalelehua,” in Olaÿa (Mt. View) Hawaiÿi.
The Papa Maile class was started a month after the Papa Lehua class in February of 2006. Both classes are running concurrently. Make up sessions may be scheduled for participants that miss a session. To ÿuniki students must attend all the sessions and fulfill all the requirements as determined by Kumu Hula Kawaikapuokalani Hewett.
For more information please E mail kahalelehua@hotmail.com, or visit our website at www.kahalelehua.com and www.kahuna888.com.

Papa Hoÿoponopono

This is a two and a half day intensive study on the Hawaiÿian Tradition of Hoÿoponopono or “realignment of spirit, mind and body.” We revisit the past to study past experiences and how they have affected the present and the future. Hoÿoponopono is founded on “kala” or forgiveness to promote harmony and wellbeing within one’s self and one’s surrounding. We will study the relationship of the ÿaumakua to hoÿoponopono and learn the basic concepts of the hoÿoponopono tradition for self use. This course is not intended to make anyone a teacher of the hoÿoponopono tradition. It is one of a continual series of courses in hoÿoponopono that will eventually lead to your ÿuniki or graduation.
These courses are managed by Aloha International through their web site at www.huna.org. Go to the “activity hut” for a listing of workshops being offered. You can register there for the Hoÿoponopono Intensive Workshops.
